The Quest for Peace

The Quest for Peace follows three teams of Jewish, Christian and Muslim college students around the world as they probe communities for tolerance, diversity and religious understanding, while trying to seek answers to historical conflicts that have caused tension among the faiths.

Cameras followed the students across Israel, Palestine, Morocco, Egypt, Spain and communities in the U.S. as the teams undertake one mission: to find people of peace, and help empower everyday citizens that can make a difference in their communities.

As such, The Quest for Peace profiles men and women from a wide range of backgrounds as they tackle significant world issues and learn valuable life lessons.

The film was written and directed by Jean-Pierre Isbouts and produced by Catherine Labrador. It was commissioned by Faith & Values Media in New York and produced by Pantheon Studios, Inc. of Santa Monica, CA. The program was broadcast  as a 2-episode mini-series on the Hallmark Channel in 2004 and again in 2005.

Later that year, the film was crowned with numerous awards, including the Gold Aurora, a Bronze CHRIS Award and the prestigious DeRose-Hinkhouse Memorial Award.

Concurrent with the broadcast of the film, Faith and Values Media also launched a dedicated web site (www.campusquest.org) in partnership with The National Conference for Community and Justice (NCCJ) and the Interfaith Youth Core.
