Synopsis

Angels in Flanders (aka "Four Saints") is the true story of four brave young women—Elsie Knocker (British), Mairi Chisholm (Scottish), Dorothy Feilding (British), and Helen Gleason (American)—who defied Victorian prejudice and German bullets  to stage their own medical dressing station on the front lines of West Flanders during World War 1.

Over nearly four years, the women saved countless soldiers who otherwise might have perished during the long transfer over rutted roads to field hospitals in the rear. The film is produced by Steve and Leslie McMichael of Calgary-based White Wing Enterprises, in co-production with Pantheon Studios. The production of the picture is timed to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of World War I in 2014.
